Real Madrid team news: Predicted Champions League line up vs Roma – Isco to start?

The Premier League champions welcome the French club to Manchester for their first Champions League game of the season - with Hoffenheim and Shakhtar Donetsk the other two teams in the group.
Pep Guardiola’s side are on honest form, having won four of their first five Premier League games - with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday.

Star couple Sergio Aguero (ankle) and Benjamin Mendy (knee) are equally doubts for the Group F opener nevertheless, with Aguero having gone off hurt at the weekend and Mendy having missed out in total.

Neither injury is grave, but with the fixtures coming broad and fast, Guardiola is unlikely to take any risks for a home game which City be supposed to really win.

Kevin De Bruyne remains out injured with a serious knee problem, and is not likely back until mid-November.

The only other definite malingerer is back-up goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who is out for the season with an Achilles injury.

Guardiola has rotate centre-backs John Stones, Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi alongside Aymeric Laporte this season, so it is hard to say who will start this game.

Gabriel Jesus is likely to lead the line, but there is plenty of rivalry for places in attacking midfield, with Leroy Sane, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling, Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez all option.
